The Kaorn family is a Sanmra family that is heavily involved in Sanmra politics, with a history of kida (lawyers and judges), nuoda (members of the legislature), and sarda (heads of government). Thus far, it is the only Sanmran family that has produced multiple sarda since its registration, earning it the nickname "The House of Many Sarda" (despite there only being two pairs so far), and the family can trace its descent from Tirina herself.
The current head of family is Kela.
History
The family was legalized in 1118, the first year registration of families was formalized, by Ahom and Damun. Both were descendants of Tirina's third son, Tirik (Tirin).
In 1588, Ketkali and Lıdana were chosen as sarda of Sanmra, immediately propelling the family from merely one of many wealthy noble families to one of the key political powers in the nation. The close ties between the Kaorn family and the central government continued even after Ketkali's death (and Lıdana's subsequent resignation) during the Epidemic of 1605. In 1875, Lıniıl and Asihan were chosen as sarda.
Today, many of its members are kida. Six members are regional nuoda, including Yarwe and her husband Rulo (representing Orsili). The Kaorn family's business ventures are handled by the Wiol family.

Properties and residences
The family home for the Kaorn family is a large house on the outskirts of Mekeras, known simply as the Kaorn House. The family also maintains major properties in Orsili (the Kaorn Orsili House, currently occupied by Yarwe and her family), Elten (the Dosui ni Arimo, or "Crow's Nest"), and Sakaran (the Kaorn Sakaran House).
