Tirina is considered the founder and first sarda of Sanmra. Born around 890 BC in Central Asia, she was involved in numerous conflicts with humans and other dalar settlements. A skilled fighter with a knack for organization and command, she quickly rose to the highest ranks of her home military forces. After the founding of the Garsenian Confederation in 806 BC, despite her relative youth, Tirina was selected as one of several generals to lead the Confederation's forces. In 723 BC, she was appointed supreme commander.

Over time, Tirina's role and political influence expanded, along with the Confederation. In 673 BC, Tirina became the political as well as the military leader of the Confederation, with the prior ruling Council of Elders shifting to an advisory role. Throughout the 600s and 500s, Tirina greatly expanded the Confederation through a combination of economic, cultural, and military pressures.

Personal life

Tirina married UNNAMED shortly after being named general, around 807 or 808 BC. In 668 BC, she gave birth to their first son, Fentir. This was followed by Dengel in 662 BC and Tirik in 659 BC.

Death and final resting place

Despite numerous injuries, sicknesses, and the dangers of childbirth earlier in life, Tirina's elder years were healthy and busy. After the death of her husband in 414 BC, likely due to a stroke, Tirina withdrew somewhat from public life, allowing Dengel and the Council of Elders a more active role in governing, though she retained ultimate control. In 404, after a brief period of weakness, she passed away of natural causes.
